A grain of... sugar!
by Paolo De Faveri
You may take it with a grain of salt, but I swear this IS indeed a grain of sugar!
Eos 50D, microscope with a 40x lens, and polarized source light.
Your C&C are as always welcome, thanks for your time. Paolo

Taking photographs through a microscope can be really funny, as the unseen is at least as much amazing and rich as the world around us. Because of the extremely swallow dof of a microscope though, it can also be very frustating, as finding focus through the viewfinder is often difficult.
That's why I have welcome very much the outstanding capabilities of the 10x live view magnification of the new 50D (and all the new Canon cameras of course). Finding focus on that screen is really a pleasure, and when the dof is not enough for the scene I want to capture, it's easy to take several pictures focussed at different distances and then stack them together in PS. I already took a couple of pictures with this technique and I eventually post them in the next days.
Thanks again to all
Paolo
Way cool! Sharon
Congratulations on the 2008 EPA Paolo. Looks like you post great pictures in places other than ESS.
