Sunrise at Great Salt Lake Desert from last weekend. Those salt flats are always very special to me and I love visiting that place.
I was pretty happy with light and salt texture this time.
Thank you for looking and commenting.

This is awesome. I love how the highlights on the fg cracks is almost like a necklace to the image--great detail pointing in to the frame with their curving points.

this is lovely Gabi. Those highlights are spectacular. Kind of makes this looks like im looking down over shimmering water.
Thing i find with digital is that skies like this can tend to look a little dirty and washed out. The corners in the sky look a little dark for my tastes though

Great foreground and very effective from a compositional point of view. The light hitting the ground and the distant mountain are the elements that are putting this one over the top. Beautifully done!

Really cool Gabi. One of the best shots you've posted this year for sure. The light is wonderful. I'm not bothered at all by the dark corners and like the vignetting feel to it.

Beautiful image. The textures and patterns are great and the light and color reflected off the cracks echoes the red rocks in the distance. Well done.

What a wonderful luminous quality this has! Texture's great too Gabi. I might correct the barrel distortion on the horizon though.

A superb image and an excellent representation of a very interesting location. I like the way the imagery in the foreground mimics the contour of the distant hills. Great job and thanks for sharing,

Impressive fg due to the wide-angle and the light reflecting off from the salt-structure is great. Great depth and distance in this one!

I'm likin' this one a lot. I love the way the dominant salt ridges make a nice sunlit ring around the fg to pull the eye ever so slightly in a circular fashion of into the distant mountains. Beautiful work, start to finish!

A fine and surreal shot Gabi. We have some great salt lakes in Australia too, except with a dead flat horizon. I spent some time at one of them this year and can't wait to go back. This particular pattern is the same pattern on many salt lakes, it's kind of universal. The distant glowing mountains provides an almost mirage-like effect. Love it.
