Hey Mike.  Welcome back!  Like the perspective/angle you chose to shoot this agave and how the main petal intertwines with the background swirls.  Very dramatic.

Beautiful composition.  The foreground petal struck me as a profile of a bittern.

I immediately noticed the bird shape as well. A simple and powerful S curve that works well.

The curve of the foreground leaf is exquisite, Mike.  Lovely textures throughout.

Hi Mike,

Wonderful lines and excellent DOF.  I like the intersecting lines that are repeating throughout the image--especially because none fall within the center point of the image.  That generates a lot of interest to the eye.  Well done........................Jim

Nice to 'see' you, Mike.  This is really nice.  I love the straighter lines in the BG and the curved petal in the FG.  Nice light and tones too.
