Looking for a title

This is another variation of this pier I shot last month during a beautiful sunset. I wanted to use the strong pillars of the pier and the silhouettes made by the sun to lead the viewer into the scene. I began shooting with black-and-white film over 25 years ago I chose black-and-white for this image as homage to film. Let me know what you think and I need a title.

All your noted objectives were met very nicely.  I noted the multiple patterns captured in the smooth sand,  vertical pier pillars and horizontal top pier lines set against the soft  shaped clouds.  Title:  Pillar Patterns?  Just a thought.

Thanks Sandra, I like the Pillar theme with the title :)

Good composition and the high contrast B&W treatment works well. That said, the sky looks like it could have been quite a feast in color a bit later in the evening with the sun closer to the horizon. I'd like to see that one as well. enlightened

Hello Basil-thank you and I will post a few from that evening all equally beautiful. It was a great night where I shot before, during, after sunset.

Regarding titles (which I am no good at) what about one of these:
At the End of the Day
Lengthening Shadows
Patterns under a Pier

Just brainstorming.

I shoot this pier so often, and it's really refreshing to see a new take on it, especially in B&W :)

This is a lovely B&W, Todd. There is fine drama, and wonderful light and tones.

Congratulations on the Editor's Pick!
