3 Black Bears

An adult black bear and her two cubs payed a visit to our back yard today, to raid the bird feeders. I managed to grab my camera before they took off, this shot taken from a partially open door.

Canon 50D, EF135/2, ISO 100, f/4 at 100th.

Cool image, Jim! I like the cub by the tree. The mom has a really nice pose. Can't wait to photograph (or spot) some bears this year! :wavey:

Jack, the weather here is quite nice in May. Compared to Long Island where we're originally from, it's usually much less humid and the sky is deep blue on a clear day.

Thanks to all for taking a look and posting your comments!

Lon, the three never got close enough to get them all in one frame. I have shots of the 2 cubs, which I will post.

Thanks for taking a look!

Must be nice having these guys as "visitors to your back yard"!
I like the diagonal line of the grass (lawn?) and the forest behind them.
