Taken a couple of days ago in the Colfax, WA area wheatfields.

Horizontally panned from left to right at f22, 1/10s with a 70-200AFS VR @ ISO 100 on a tripod with a Wimberley Sidekick.

Thanks for viewing.

Nice soft colors, the panning really worked here. And the sky adds to it, it came out nice and soft. Good job.

It works --beautifully. The blurred form of the hill is just right (and I love the blue of the sky).

Catherine, This is a beautiful impressionistic scene. I really like it.

What I really like are the OOF horizontal lines which add a great deal to the image. Oh, yes the darker patch in the LFG also adds to the image in that it points the eye back up the hill to the uppermost hillock.

Very nice job. :toast:

Carol

PS So glad you returned in time to show us how panning really works.

Loks like oil-on-canvas brushstrokes. Very creative, Catherine. It's quite calming to look it.

Beautiful work Catherine. I agree with Carol that the shadows add a lot to this. Very creative, very nice.

Congrats on your EP Catherine! This makes me feel like I'm in my car driving one of the many dusty roads the Palouse has to offer.
