I saw this while walking back to my truck one night after shooting a sunset. It was on top of a large sand dune I was walking by. Thought it was kinda spooky looking.

This definitely fits, Bill, The emotions could be fear, surprise, even awe.

I really like the feeling of motion too.

Nice addition to WC.

What, there weren't any bats flying across the sky when you shot this?! This is very spooky and could be easily used for a poster advertising some scary flick. I've got goosebumps!

The B&W makes it spookier. I'm not sure why, but I'm drawn to those two sawn-off limbs: I don't know if their having been cut (as opposed to breaking off in a storm) adds something sinister...

Thanks all for your comments. I really appreciate them.

Rosemarie - have no worries, the limbs were indeed torn off by storms, 2 hurricanes in fact. Hurricane Ivan in 2004, and Hurricane Dennis in 2005. This dune stands about 300 yards from the gulf. Ivan didn't kill the tree, but the salt spray from Dennis did.

Love the feeling...
I see the after effects in my area from those two years of hurricanes. Holding my breath so far this year.

Whether that tree tree is menacing you with a "boo" or fleeing with its "arms" up in the air -- " Eeeeeeeek!" this really is spooky. I think the B&W and the long exposure both enhance that feeling.
