Lilypons Water Gardens
Canon 30d,Tamron 180 macro,probably around f/20
If you look close enough, you can see the tops of a fly's wings. I was too lazy to clone them out.

This is gorgeous. The image glows, and the comp and colors are great.

For a lazy guy, this is a damn fine shot Michael . Do you have a blur layer with about a 20% opacity for this? It has such a nice dreamy feel. Lovely colors, lovely image.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Yes David, I forgot to mention I applied a very slight Orton effect to offset the extremely harsh lighting conditions under which this was shot.

Wow, Michael this is simply fantastic. The best Water Lily image that I can remember seeing. Colors are fantastic, detail is excellent, comp and dof are perfect. My only nit....
I DIDN'T TAKE IT. I need to find these somewhere around here. How close were you to these when you captured this? Keep it up, just great.

Nice photo Mike. When were you at Lilypons? I go there nearly every day now during my lunch break (I work in Urbana).

This is an amazing image, Mike. The soft glow created with the Orton effect is sublime and I love the colors. I did not come away with anything near this nice from our last trip.
