Young coyotes near Jasper National Park today. D200, 200-400VR + 1.4 @ 550, 1/100, f7.1, 0EV, 320 iso, hand held resting on car window, overcast and late in the day, about 70% of original. (We definitely have snow in the higher elevations)

That's a neat shot and must have been a cool experience too, I like that all 4 of them are making eye contact with you. I think the crop is fine as is but taking some off the top and making it more of a pano might emphasize the coyotes more. :toast:

Colors and composition are outstanding. Eye contact with all of them is great-how did you get them all to look at you at the same time? Congrats - SandyLee

Thanks for your comments. Sandy, I was watching a herd of deer about 50 yards to the left when I noticed this group romping and playing. I held the shutter down on the action, when they heard the shutter they stopped their play and looked at the source of the noise. Of the dozen photos this was the only one with all four looking at the camera. Within 15 seconds of first observing them they were gone over the horizon.

I am glad I opened this one, Gary! I was very pleasantly surprised, what a beautiful pack of coyotes! You could have posted this in the Weekly challenge, they blend in their environment very well. :toast: :toast:

I love this shot Gary! The snow on the ground and having eye contact with them all in their own natural arrangement makes this one a really great shot. Excellent! :toast:
