The leaf was suspended in between the rows of the ornamental grass and the backlighting caught my eye. Taken with Canon 5D, using 100-400 IS lens.
Comments always welcomed.

Elegant lines! I like the simplicity..uncluttered look. But the 'wow' is the french curved grass and seed head strands and suspended leaf that look like jellyfish tendrils wrapped around a fish. Ken S

Very nice Pat. Beautiful light and excellent composition plus I love that black bg - particularly against the leaf.

I love the barbed rhythm of the grass and the leaf pointing in a counter position. This is a beautiful capture Patricia.

Such a simple act of Nature resulting in an exquisite image. Superb lighting against a great BG. What more could one ask?

I could wish for more technical excellence, but, considering what is shown here, I can only offer praise. This is a very beautiful photograph. The sense of seeing, being shown, a particular point in time is very strong.

Patricia,
I was not able to spend time online this past week, so I am really glad your shot got the EP. Otherwise I may have missed one of the most graceful images of this season. The oak leaf seems to be cradled so gently and bathed in warm light, easing its fall from the tree.
