Empty Stable

Another shot from the same place as my recent post in ESS. This is an empty stable for sheep. It was empty though as they were high up in the mountains at that time.

Check out the bigger version. Thanks for all C&Cs.

Canon 5D, Zeiss 35-70mm, 1/13s-f/11-ISO50, Lee 0.9 Soft, second exposure for the sky. Tony Kuypers Luminosity Masks for local adjustments.

Personally, I like this as well as the ESS version. The cascades are gorgeous, and the stable adds interest and mood.

Really nice Andreas, this is as nice as your ESS image. You've gotten a lot of mileage out of this area.

Nice one, Andreas. Effective comp, and I like how the stable is a key element, yet not in-your-face.

Fantastic!!

You hit it all here with the leading lines, rule of thirds, etc. Add in a great location and good light-you have made an outstanding image here.

Two thumbs up!!

Great comp that snakes through the scene, even the clouds add to the curves! Really great. Darwin

Another great shot Andreas. The rock in the fg looks like it has a small circular hole in it.

Wonderful light, comp, and elements, Andreas! Of course, I love the way the stream leads my eye through the shot, but that empty stable sets the mood. It really gives it that "high and lonely" feeling of remote isolation.

Beautiful shot! My first thought was of "Heidi" even though I know this isn't the Alps! Thanks for sharing a great photo. (SMILE)
