Royal Bengal Tigers

Shooting Tigers is very exciting but could be very disappointing too, as you may be roaming in the jungle for a week or ten days and may not see even the tail of a Tiger. But at fortunate times may see three of them coming into the frame ( actually they were four of them, forth was the last one not visible in the frame). I was just hoping the front one, which is actually mother, to look at the camera but she didn't oblige and I'm not complaining anyway.
Thankyou so much for your kind attention & views!
Canon 40D & 70-200mm.

Great shot Jagdeep - it's not often you see three tigers in a row. I would have liked to see the ears pointed forward as this looks a bit awkward, but there's not much you can do about that. As their cousins in Africa, I see the tigers also like to use the road to travel on, which is unfortunate. They should put up big signs along all roads saying 'no wildlife allowed on the roads'.

I don't know if you cropped this, otherwise some extra space at the bottom would be nice.

Well done.

Congratulations on this rare capture Jagdeep! I like the framing of this shot. Three cats for the price of one is a very good bargain :toast:

Wow, this is great, three tigers in one frame, Jagdeep! I know by experience how hard it is to find tigers, even with excelent guides. When we visited some tiger reserves we were very happy to have Stephen Mills as one of our guides. This man has made beautiful tiger documentaries for the BBC and knows so much about tiger behaviour, which is essential for being in the right spot on the right time. You have a priceless image here! :toast:

Awesome photo Jagdeep! :jump: Its is great that there is separation between all 3 tigers. The fact that the first one does not look at the camera is only a small nit and would have been a bonus on an excellent image. My only small nit with this image are the bright spots in the BG above the 3rd tiger. Maybe you could clone these out or al least reduce the brightness. I agree with Marsel that in a way it is a pity that these tigers are walking on a road/track, BUT if they were walking in the bush instead you most likely would not have achieved a shot like this with 3 tigers in a row or you would not even have seen them at all!!!

Thnanks friends ! It seems like humans, Cats too have become lazy and prefer taking easy route, which of course is unfortunate, lke Marsel said. There was a slight crop, some canvas is there under the feet.
Thanks again !

Jagdeep, I just love this image - the way there is a fading of focus from the tiger in front to the one at the back, is what captures my attention.

Wow Jagdeep....this shot leaves me speechless....these are wild Bengal tigers?!?!?! The fact that you not only found them but also managed to line up a shot like this is a success beyond words...worthy of Nat Geo for sure. One day I would like to photograph these beauties in the wild....although part of me wants to do it in the Sundarbans.
