Larry, Way Cool!
Glad to see more of your snowflakes again, and this a really nice arrangement. The details are amazing.

A beautiful image. I will have to attempt a snowflake, but I have a feeling it is not as easy as you make it look with this image.

Flawless capture, IMO. I love it! I can only imagine taking such pictures, down here in snowless southern California. :frown:

Bill, to answer your question the lens used is the MPE-65 macro, Canon. The comp is natural. I go through a lot of snowflakes (selected) to get all the elements to fall in place which can be gone in a puff of wind in a second.

Excellent work on this one Larry. From what I've read this is a most difficult image to capture.

Congratulations Larry. Stunning image. Would you consider writing an article for next month's issue on how this is done?

While in WY, I tried this countless times with tubes and a 105mm. Nothing I produced was nearly this good! Bravo again Larry.

I am very flattered Pat but for now my plate is overrunning. My best friend (my wife) is scheduled for major surgery very shortly this month and I am trying amoung other things to finish my website, so time is pressing to the point that I hope I can my scheduled images posted for the weeks ahead. Again, thanks for asking and I will keep in mind for future consideration. larry

This is excellent in all regards. I love to see pictures of snow flakes as not very many people seem to post them. Thanks a lot for sharing.
