Snowy Cotoneaster

We had a White Christmas here in WA this year. In fact we had about 3 weeks of snow and subfreezing temps. It was enjoyable- for awhile. Our city (Seattle) suffers from snow paralysis, as we are without adequate snow removal equipment for these once-every-twenty-years snowfalls! Then it warmed up quickly, we had a huge rain storm and now western WA is afloat...

So thanks, Bill, for the theme. I've already got the winter blahs, and it's only January. At least I got some photos for all the trouble.

Great combination of colors. This works really well. I like the out of focus branch adding some depth.

Lovely image, Catherine. I especially like the way you've caught the snow against the white BG ( very adventurous ! ) and the gentle fade-out of the lower berries. Would make a great card.

I really like the high key BG, and the shape of the show Catherine. The red of the berries adds a wonderful element of color. Very nice shot.

Somehow, Cath, I missed this ... Congratulations on the EP. The Pyracantha berries are marvelous against their deep green leaves and snow covering. Nice capture and very nice handling of the whites. The white snow against the white sky is interesting.
