A naturally occuring still life from my old backyard. A single lilac blossom came to rest on a neigboring plants leaf. I used my macro 100m f2.8 lens on very selective focus for this shot.

Fantastic shot, Pam! The select focus, color contrasts, and great balance all work beutifully here!
I've given up this week on policing the strict definition of "still-life", since half of the entries are not following it. Technically, a still life requires an "artificial setting" but there seems to be a great deal of confusion on this. I blame it all on JIm, it's his theme!

This is really CUTE! And along with being so pleasing, it's got great detail, colors, bg and contrast in size of subjects. What a great find.
