Two Sisters - who were born in one of the best nature reserves of India called Ranthambhore National Park. They have one more sister who was coming behind them so didn't show up in this frame  These two are quite different characters than each other and if you look at their faces you can feel it yourself ... the one from left is the most dominant and caring among the three and her confidence shows on her face .. but the other one is not so confident and quite skeptic about humans and their weird machines and it shows on her face too  These sweet girls gifted us (me and my wife Supriya) one of the most magical evenings of our lives ... it was Valentine's Day 14th Feb 2008 and it became the most memorable valentine's day we can ever have

Beautiful tones and a great mood. The oranges look slightly over saturated to me, and I might be tempted to crop off a slice from the left, but this is really nice. :toast:

Wonderfull scene and well captured! Like Marsel said the mood is great! My only nit would be that your background seems a little too noisy at the moment, it detracts the attention a little away fromt hese beautiful subjects.

I really like the frame, the setting and the Tigers too, but find there heavu use of H/S, which is affecting the contrast.

I agree, very moody image, I love the different expressions. Seems a bit noisy for iso 400 not sure why that is.

Very nice shot :toast: :toast:

Hi Marsel .. Jorne .. Jagdeep and Billy - Thanks for your appreciation and views ... I too feel that I should have applied noise reduction even more strongly ... about colors I would say that I did boosted the saturation a bit bcos the light was so low that the tigers were not standing out from the bg much ... may be little less saturation too would have done well ... Thanks again for your honest views

Hi Subharghya, welcome to the Fauna Gallery! :wavey: And what a beautiful image to start with. I really like this. To me it looks as if they had you and your wife in their minds served on a hot plate! The centre framing working very well with the almost symmetrical poses of the these magnificent cats. The dark environment also offsets them nicely. Those eyes are so clear and have nice catchlight. A larger version would have shown this even better. Maybe Marsel is right about the saturation, but hard to verify for me on my laptop screen now. I agree with Billy that the BG looks niosy, maybe this is the result of jpeg compression rather than ISO. :toast:

I understand that this was taken in low light situation, but maybe you could experiment with adding a touch of brightness to the overall image. I, too, think a minor crop on the left would enhance. I love the postures and the sweep of grass stem between them and the good eye contact.

This was definitely a treat indeed. Better than chocolate for Valentines Day. I can't think of anything to add to what has already been said about a critique so I will just say that this is a nice shot. Thanks for sharing!!

This was not only a terrific first post Subharghya, I also considered this the most interesting Fauna Gallery post of last week, hence the choice for the EP. This is a very artistic wildlife photo that undoubtedly will look great in large print on any wall. Congratulations. :toast:

Thanks for the story as well as this fantastic image! Well worthy of an EP. :toast: The grass slanting up between the tigers is a reminiscent stroke of their whiskers. The way you describe them looks right on. Just excellent.

This is incredible, a truly beautiful, powerful and dynamic image. I agree with Marsel about a slight crop on the right, I can't judge the colors accurately on my crappy laptop, but boy is this wonderful!
