Farmer's Pond Bishop

I met fellow NPNer Benjamin Glatt for the first time up Bishop a week ago. I told him I knew where farmer's pond was but I was mistakenly thinking of Milpond so we made it a goal to find it before I headed back home. Well, here it is. Empty except for a little bit of trash and this old chair. This is a souvenier pic for me. Thanks for taking it Ben. It sure goes to show that one doesn't need to go too far from home to take a great photo like Galen Rowell did here a few years ago. You just have to take advantage of your surroundings when they are at their best.

The only thing that really matters to me is just pulling the handle here, laying back and enjoying the scenery.

Hahahaha! Yes! That is awesome! Damn, now I wish you had taken that shot of me... Oh well. What an awesome shot. What a disappointment that Farmer's Pond was.

Hi Steve,
What a place to enjoy the environment relaxed.
You'd almost forget to go shooting  :toast:

Stan, A glass of wine would have been nice and I would of been a little more relaxed in this filthy chair.

Ben, Not really a dissapointment, just a new reference spot for the future. I did offer to take your portrait.

Thanks Rebecka. Good to hear when I'm at my worst.

Thanks Marinus from the Netherlands.

 Steve, this surely places a new meaning to the term "Armchair Photographer". I thought it meant someone who wanted to capture images from their living room.
A really great story behind this scene no doubt. Looks like you were having a great time out there.

Paul, it's a big living room.

Floris, Ben is a natural!

Alex, You caught me I admit it was disgusting, guess I'm just a B actor.

Youseff, no this guy is a clown.

I always blink when a flash goes but not during a crayola portrait.

The guy who drew this(signed MM) makes a living doing this on Hollywood blvd. No office just a backpack.
