This is a shot taken this winter at one of the Fort Collins natural areas. I like to take morning walks along these trails. This was a particularly cold morning, with an interesting color in the western sky.

As always, love to here any suggestion comments or nits, thanks for looking!

Cool shot...literally. Love the leading line and the frosty background Michael. There may be some dusty areas on the left side between the blue ice and on the right in the arc of the blue ice. Not sure, but you may want to check.

Nice shot, Michael. The lead of the boardwalk is key, and the color in the sky is unusual. I had to re-read your comment to make sure you said western sky. My only suggestion would be to think about cloning/cropping out your footprints at the bottom.

Hi Michael,

I think this is a pretty nice scene. I like the idea of smoothing over the FG footprints. I also think that everything but the sky is unusually warm, color wise. I think moving the temp to the left or increasing the blues would make it look more accurate, and the contrast between the cool FG and warm sky would add a good dynamic to the image.

This is a fantastic winter image with a good mix of cool and warm tones and the perspective looks great to me.

This is nice. I especially like the the light in the sky and on the snow/ice. I would favor a crop to a 4x5 aspect ratio eliminating the bottom altogether. I'm not sure why except that to my eye it is more balanced, or it eliminates the elements at the bottom which are somewhat distracting. Just my two cents for what ever that's worth.

Wonderful color hues Michael. The boardwalk leads nicely into the scene. My only nit would be the boot prints on the dock. Very cool none the less.

Nice comp, and great color. The rime ice on the trees and bushes is cool. Very well done.

Michael, the warm sky is a dramatic backdrop for the ice and the hoarfrost, and the various tones of white are excellent. (I'd do something to the footprints, too.)

Oh, this is simply gorgeous. Captivating composition and unlikely combination of such a warm glow in the sky contrasted with the freezing cold landscape. The bridge is so symbolic. This image speaks to me of Hope! Very inspirational! Congrats on the very well deserved Pick. :toast:
