Wonderful flight/action image, Andrea. You must have found a great vantage point to photograph this bird.

Great setting and excellent exposure control. Love the water droplet on the head and surrounding the bird

Really nice capture. Love the water behind the bird and the moss covered rock in the bottom of the frame. Wish you had included the larger view.

A fantastic shot of this elusive bird. The only thing that's not perfect is the blacks below - but in exchange you got a beautiful exposure on the whites, eye and water. Extremely well done

Andrea: I really like all the different types of action in this shot: the bird, the slow movement of water on the foreground rock, the fast-moving water in the background, and the splashes associated with the water droplets visible around the bird.

Excellent flight shot taken in a wonderful setting. You did a good job with the exposure in a tough situation. I would spend a little time in PS pulling some detail out of the dark areas on the bird.

An unusual capture of a Dipper. Nice timing. The bright water background does tend to pull my eyes away from the subject.

A brilliant capture and flight shot. Excellent. Your dipper is certainly more colorful than our dipper.

I suspect you have been watching the regular movements of this bird to put yourself in this perfect position so very well done. All those water droplets really do make this sparkle and the wing position is spot on.
If on the other hand this was a lucky shot, surely no one could be this lucky ??

Yes Colin, to observe animals before to photograph them is really important, particularly with this interesting bird.
