This image is part of a sequence that I have taken during metamorphosis. If you want to see the full sequence, go to my site by clicking on the link below: http://www.simonetossani.it/gallery/sequenza/cordulegaster_boltonii/cordulegaster_boltonii.htm
Unfortunately, the sighting took place too late and then the initial phase in which the Cordulegaster exits Exuvia there but these days I hope to be able to revive and do a better job of it.
Photographing images sequentially in the undergrowth is not easy.
The wind moves continuously branches of the trees causing shadows in the background is not homogeneous and that is why not all images have the same depth.
The final image is always the same sequence, but I had to move because otherwise Cordulegaster with the wind which was becoming increasingly annoying, I would not be able to resume playing.

All images are performed with Nikon D3 - Nikon AF Micro 200 f / 4 D.
The times vary from seconds to the fastest time of 1 / 10 second with an aperture of f/18 and ISO 400 sensitivity.

Regards Simone Tossani

Very nice work, Simone. Excellent focus and details. Your colors are very nice - I like the echo of yellow in the upper right corner. Congratulations on an excellent shot.
