Hippo Mist

Hi everyone

Hippo's are one of my favourite photographic subjects - just spending time watching them do nothing in particular and watching for interesting moments that might make an image is really rewarding for me. This image was taken on a cold winters morning in the Timbavati (South Africa)and it was lovely watching the mist moving over the water and how the scene changed with the light..

Beautiful image James. Certainly nothing against the hippo but the light, mist and water would have been worth the shot in their own right. I love the mood in this.
