Foxgloves

Sony A700
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, 1/4 @ f11

On the first full day of our trip we started off by revisiting Ecola State Park. It was gray and dismal and lousy for some scenics that I wanted but there was no breeze and the roadway leading up to the viewpoint was loaded with these foxgloves. This one was bent over from the weight of the water drops and had a really nice forest BG. All comments welcome.>=)))>

So this is how multiple blossoms should be done! Perfect pof, fantastic detail, and a great background. (I'm taking notes!) :toast:

Smash hit, Bill!! Wow. That stem of flowers is in such good condition. And with the water drops on them and sparkling detail throughout, it's stunning.

A different take on Foxglove.......but I like it. I've tried shooting these before and never came away with anything I liked (a new idea). Nice light too. :toast: :toast:

Bill,

Thanks for the link to this gorgeous image. I really not just the definition, but the vibrancy of the blossoms. The stalk that I shot had lost much of its peak color, which was one of the reasons I tried the B-W conversion. Again, thanks for sharing-both your image and your thoughts.
