Daylily Curve

ND200, AF-S 105mm VR, 25mm Extension, F/8, 1/50 Sec, ISO200 and Tripod. It was very very windy. The background is another Lily (carefully positioned by me). Ideally this shot would need stacking or a narrower aperture but the wind would not let any of that happen. Hence I tried to place at least some area of the petal (if not the edge) in some focus.

As always your thoughts are much appreciated.

A wonderful curl to this image Ram, and I love the background color. The lily petal reminds me of an octopus tentacle. I might lighten the dark green just a bit just for kicks, but I also like the anchor it supplies to the composition.

Looks brilliant in the thumbnail Ram and I wish I could see the full image. For some strange reason when I click on the thumbnail the image doesn't load  It seems to happen for this image and rather for all of your images today?

Lovely, Ram. The lighting is perfect and the bg color great. Personally, I rather like the soft focus than the sharpness you were seeking. I also think the top part of another petal curling the opposite way really makes the image. Nicely done.

You could be called a poet and this medium your poetry. Always a visual treat. Copied and imitated but you are still the king !

Nice shot,Ram. I don't think a sharp image would have been as effective at conveying this simple, gracefull image. Great graphic feel to it. Most people would not have hung in there on a windy day to get such an image. Fine job!
