Clean Beaches

It was very depressing to stumble upon this beach...made for a depressing morning. I arrived at sunrise to find it covered in litter, from plastic bottles to thrown out skateboard parts. It was unexpected and sad to find such litter in an otherwise incredibly beautiful place. The black sand and dark clouds created a dark mood. To top it off, I got back in the car drove a mile when I started to smell something foul...both sandals covered in dog crap. Image taken on the windward coast of Oahu, Hawaii.
Canon 40D, 10-22mm.

Seems like people never comment on this forum, just not popular! Nobody wants to see trash on a beach, but this definitely works as an 'educational' stock shot. Technically well done, too. I love the windward side of Oahu, but even though it is less developed than the Honolulu region, its got a lot of people...
If you have time to answer - how do you like the 40D in combo with the 10-22 lens? I have been thinking of picking up that lens for a while, but hesitant to drop the $700!!

Thanks Daniel. Lots of the images in this forum are a bit depressing, and as a result its a bit understandable why this forum doesn't get the attention it deserves - at least thats my take.

I like the 10-22mm. I'm definitely a wide angle person and my lens together with 40D gets heavy use, especially compared to my 17-40mm/40D combo. My one complaint is the amount of color fringing I notice. Definitely not as bad as other lenses I've seen, but also not as good as 'L' glass. The color fringing can be dealt with to a degree though in raw processing.

:frown: not the paradise we are used to see on the beaches of Hawaii. A sad and true reality.
