WC #396 - The Narrows
by Jim Greenwood
When in The Narrows, most people (including myself) naturally tend to focus their attention and their lenses most of the time on the Virgin River and/or the towering walls of Zion Canyon. This scene is at a bend in the river on a rise of maybe about 20-30 feet above the banks. For me it very much captures the essence of the Narrows without including the most commonly photographed elements.
