Mount Washington Birches

Just going through some files from a couple of years ago, stuck in the office chompin' at the bit to go shooting. Should get a window of opportunity this weekend as long as the weather cooperates.

Not sure I'm totally sold on this so I wanted to get some feedback from you. Is there too much empty space, foreground tree to prominent and centered?

Thanks

Kurt,

I really like the pov in this and while it's centered I do like the inverted V formed by the birch trunks. I might be inclined to crop up from the bottom to just below the red leaves on the left. Puts more emphasis on the trees and I like them. It's a good looking image IMO.

Nice scene, Kurt. I love the touches of red color in this one and the tree trunks in the background. I think I would prefer a bit more of the trees and a bit less of the foliage in the foreground, but that is a minor nit of this nice shot.

Kurt,

Excellent autumn image. I really like that this captures the transition of colors. the comp is very nicely done as well.

Hey, did you or anyone see the recent cover of OP??? I saw this thumbnail and could swear it was the same image as the current October cover. In the end of course different images, but very similar in comp and color.

Beautiful capture Kurt.

A nice bit of fall color there and the birch trunks make for some great contrast, well seen

I like the comp and colors. I'm wondering if pulling back the exposure a bit might make the colors a little richer.

It is a great scene and I like the comp, but it could stand for some more sharpening.

This is a great tapestry of fall color. Although I love the red foliage in the FG, the crop from the bottom would work well. Otherwise, I like the comp and wouldn't change anything.

Nice foliage image Kurt. I would like to see more of the birches a s well but that is only a minor nit. Happy autumn!
