I really wanted to participate in today's activities but had to work. I often catch images on my way to and from work but today nothing called out to be photographed. I was almost home and the light was fading quickly so decided if I was going to do it, I needed to just stop and find something to inspire me. I found the curves of these grasses interesting and I liked the fading light so here is my image.
I started taking nature photographes a few years ago to relieve the stress of a crisis in my life. Since then, nature photography has changed my entire life. I have slowed the pace of my life (I leave for work as much as a hour before I have to so I can stop if I see something to photograph along the way) and see things I never would have seen if I wasn't doing nature photography. Just this year I have seen many things I have never seen in my entire life. I love watching a bird search for food or a coyote scratch its head. I feel in touch with what is important in the world and this connection gives more value to my life.
