Marbled Godwit

Here's another frame of the Marbled Godwit landing that I posted a couple of weeks ago with a different wing position and more of a traditional crop. Taken at the Washington coast. Cropped to vertical from a horizontal.

MkIII 500F4 1/2000 F8, iso 800, evaluative metering -0.3, Handheld

I thought this fellow looked familiar! Beautiful image again, Nate. Curious that one wing is hidden so well. I think I prefer the first image for that reason. :toast:

Nice light and image quality. I too think I liked the previous version better, but hard to say without seeing them at the same time.

I think I prefer the cupped wing capture in your September 21 post, Nate, but this is nonetheless a fine shot. Beautiful light and fine techs. Very sharp for HH with all that lens, even taking into account 1/2000th.

Hello Nate.

Lighting and detail are really nice and work well with the darker background.
