The first falling leaves always signal the start of the Fall Season for me.
This is from Marble CO last year.

Stan, Very nice! The red really caught my attention. After opening it, it was even prettier. I especially like the detail on the red leaf, and the shadow from underneath.

When I opened this my first thought was that the light was too harsh but as I look I kinda like the spotlight effect on the two main leaves and how the needles are shadowed onto them. I wonder about a tighter crop to remove some the the BG elements??

I was in Marble about 45 years ago and I didn't see anything this pretty. I agree, the red is bold against the rest of the photo. The glistening on the pine needle draws the eye upward and left. Good study in contrast and composition. the fisch

I like what you were going for here, but I'd suggest cropping this down to emphasize the two leaves. The background in the lower left is a little distracting IMHO.

I love that red leaf. The yellow one definitely takes second stage. The contrast with the green boughs is excellent. The lighting perfect.

There's some fantastic colour there, and I really like the two leaves with different shapes and colours (or three, if we include the green needles). Very nice!

I would agree to crop this down to place the emphasis on the fallen leaves. I love the bold red leaf and the backlighting on it is spectacular. Great capture.

Nicely seen! I like how you can see through the leaf.

Good eye and a nice catch, Stan! Here's another vote for a tighter crop that only includes the single branch and the two leaves.
