Evening on the Yantic

A small contribution to the flora theme.

This was taken a few years ago in late evening light with virtually no wind blowing. Captured as a high res jpeg using a Canon 10D, the saved tiff file was recently reprocessed in the ProPhoto color space.

Other technicals: tripod, 28-105 at 105, 1.5 sec at f4.5

The larger version definitely does better justice to this scene. The large version has great details and depth. Beautiful colors and comp. The bend in the stream makes me wonder what is beyond... Great work!

The large version is stunning!! The small version could use a tiny bit more sharpening. But i love this scene, just gorgeous!

Nice shot on the Yantic. As soon as I saw the thumbnail and title I wonderded what were the odds that it was Yantic, CT. Sure enough. Love your website. Nice to see images from places I am so familar with and often shoot myself. Also see there's a show in Woodstock this weekend. Hoefully take a ride out.
