An Eagle Owl in full flight in the scottish highlands. Ideally the owl would be positioned in the left side of the frame, but I must say I quite like this as well (for me). Opinions welcome of course!

Hi Jorne, I agree the ideal would be for the owl to be on the left of frame, but this is lovely nonetheless. Beautiful bird in a great setting :toast:

Great wing position and eye contact, Jorne. I don't mind the position in the frame at all. :toast:

As mentioned, more left on the subject would be nice, BUT... this is also exceptional as posted. Very nice detail and love the downward swept wings capture all with a very nice BG. Congrats Jorne!

If you wanted a nice comparasion you could easily add canvas to the right and change the crop and post that. A vertical crop might work well also.

The detail and colors are gorgeous on this Owl. What was the SS, ISO and Apeture?

Wonderful Jorne! I think the 'wrong' position in the frame adds some more dynamism, which works because of the intensity in the eyes and wing stroke cycle. Well done!
