Alejandro Velarde - CANP

Just wanted to introduce myself.

I am originally from Peru but currently live in San Francisco, CA and the picture you see is from my last trip to my country about two months ago. You can visit my website to check some of the images I captured in the Peruvian Andes.

I’ve been doing photography for only 4-5 years and I love it. In my case, it started as a hobby, then I printed some photos for my house and some friends offer to buy a few. Then I had a couple small shows in the company where I work full time (in finance) and more people started buying.
I don’t sell a lot but enough to pay for some equipment here and there.

What is most important is that I get the chance to be in the outdoors and meet wonderful people who share the same passion as I do. Now as a member of NPN as well as CANP I am hoping to meet many more people and learn and share ideas in the years to come.

Hi Verena and thank you for your welcoming words. I am glad you enjoyed my Peru pictures, there are plenty of opportunities for photography there and I hope one day you can visit, if you haven't done so yet.

Hi Eva,
Thank you. I like the NE very much; my wife is actually from MA.
When I was in Acadia I didn't get very good weather but did my best to get some shots with the available light.
You have very nice pictures with nice drama!

Julie, Jim and Bill,

Thank you for your recent posting and comments. I am very happy to be part of this community and looking forward to participating more actively.
I have not had the chance to post any pictures yet although I have several because I am working on a couple shows for December and a book.

I'll post the link to the book once ready.
