Hello,
this is my first post in this gallery.
I'm usually in the field for birds, but this time a butterfly has drawn my attention.

I love these butterflies and the detail and color captured on this photo are really really nice. The composition also is good with the bird angled in the frame. Unfortunately the brown OOF BG on the right side is less than interesting.

Hi Monica, very nice capture. The pose and the details on the bf are really perfect. The BG is a bit distracting, but overall the shot works well.

Hi Monica: this is a beautiful BF which is nicely captured. Love the color. The light must be very strong to cast the black shadow: perhaps lowering the ISO and increasing the aperture may improve the BG. Overall still a strong comp.

Great image of this pretty butterfly, nice colours, details and comp. The bg doesn't bother me at all. Nice shot, and great first post in this gallery! I hope we'll see more of your pictures here
Hmm. I think this critter is a male.

Good butterfly! Very sharp. I would like to see a tighter shot to cut out some of the bg.

I would crop to eliminate as much of the brown space on the right as possible, and the light is a tad bit harsh. Other than that, this is a beauty! Great DOF, colors and nice sharp details. I can never get butterflies to sit still long enough to capture them!
