I just got back from a private workshop and thought I'd post this pic. It was taken last evening as the rain stopped for a few. This was well after sunset and it was definitely getting dark and very hard to focus. It still amazes me how digital can capture an image with so little light! This was a Table Rock State Park in South Carolina. You can see the clouds moving by and revealing the rock face of Table Rock.

EOS 5D w/ TS-E 45mm ISO 250 13 sec @ f10

Color is spectacular. Clouds definitely are the icing on the cake for me for this shot. Love the framing too.

Michael,

Why do you think that the TS-E 45mm is an interesting lens choice?

Interesting image - wish the trees were brighter to show off the colors, but it's a tough exposure situation, and understood, given the conditions and low light. Yet the sky makes it look like an overcast day scene, and therefore, I'm expecting to see a brighter forest

Great mist and colors! I got wet, too! But, I (accidentally) brought my beach umbrella with me and clamped it to a tripod and was able to set up the 8x10 and work just fine without the camera and film getting wet, anyway!

Great shot!

Love the shot. I too want to see a bit more exposure in the trees, but excellent as is.

I like the way the colorful, but dark, trees are reflecting, but the reflection of the sky adds nothing for me and ends up being a distraction in the composition. I do very much enjoy the top 2/3rds of the photo.
