Welcome to NPN!
And what a nice shot to start off with. The monochromatic tones and the diagonal direction are interesting. Composition is pretty straightforward and effective, but in this case I think I'd prefer a wider view; more white and a smaller subject to emphasize the white surroundings.
Looking forward to see more of your work.

Very nice opener indeed. excellent white on white execution. I really like the subtile shadowing in the snow giving some depth to the image. Difficult exposure done right.
I'll go warm my hands now!

A wonderful shot. I can only assume this critter probably was not easily approached, presented a tough exposure, and did not likely pose very long for you. To get him with such a clean background really makes this photo exceptional IMO.

Judy,
I love this pose. Its all about the animal and the simple surrounds set him off. Poor guy, do you know how hen pecked these guys are?
Cant wait for our goats to drop into the Snake River Canyon. Won't be long now.

Hi Judy,
Welcome to NPN and, in particular, to the Fauna Gallery - this is an excellent first post. I like the white-on-white detail (or should I say "cream-on-cream" detail!), that snow makes it so obvious that goats are normally a long ways from being pure white. I also like both the strong diagonal here and the very faint shadowing on the snow - very well done!
Cheers...looking forward to seeing further contributions from you in the future! And feel free to jump in and comment on the images of others - feedback is always welcomed!

This is lovely Judy. I particularly like the raised hooves giving a sense of motion. Welcome to NPN!

I like the exposure on the fur and the detail. Crop and diagonal slant are fine with me.

The white out in the background is great...makes the goat really pop!

Welcome to NPN, Judy! And what a grand debut image! I like the diagonal composition, and the raised left front leg, and the faint shadow that the goat is casting on the white snow. Superb! However, I will go with Marsel's suggestion about a slightly smaller subject and larger canvas.
