No doubt the saplings wish they will grow up strong and tall like the big tree next to them.
Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,
Morris

Great title for this composition! I can't quite put my finger on it, but the quality of the light here seems a little unexpected to me, although not detrimentally so.

I like it. I like the monochromatic look of it. I might try to turn up the saturation in the leaves to provide a little contrast.

Thanks guys. Bruno, no I didn't use a vignette, but did burn in the edges some. Jim, it was the quality of the light that brought me to take this one.

I really like this. I would also up that saturation a little, especially in the yellows. I like the spotlighting, at least it looks like it was. I would have been drawn to it as well.

Morris, I definitely like as posted, it has a natural look, just what I would expect to see if I was standing there. Very nice color and composed beautifully.

Nice eye for the composition of the sapling and trunk. The really wonderful side lighting on the tree trunk really makes it for me.

Morris,
I love the processing here. The light is beautiful and subtle and the juxtaposition of young and old is very poignant in this photo.

Love it Morris. The image and your title are superb. The nice light really brought out the textures of the older, wiser, mature tree.

I like this quite well, Morris. The strong textures in the foreground objects and the somewhat OOF background works well. And the beautiful light make this image really sing.

Nice light Morris, and I like the title. I think the delicate yellows against the gray trunk works well here.

I like the light you found or your processing of this image...or more likely both. Your tastefully chosen title helps to keep me from missing the message. Wonderful.
