WC #406 - Left Fork

Of course, Stan and anyone else who has hiked the Left Fork will recognize this as the small pool just above the "crack". Since my first Left Fork hike, I've always been drawn to this little feature, and probably have photographed it as much as any of the other more well-known nearby landmarks.

I actually dont quite recognize it  This was my first trip to the Left Fork (how many X have you been there?) so i was a bit overhwelmed by it all, and since i wasnt sure how long it would take me i didnt really stop too many times. Im sure when i go back ill notice a lot of these other little spots. I actually prefer this to your latest ESS post, more original for one thing, but i also prefer the more daring comp. It makes me miss the place already...

Well this will give Stan a run for his money. You guys are unreal. Nice capture.

In defense, what does Kansas have to match up to this. We just have to look really hard.

Excellent photo Jim. Nicely presented a mixture of autumn mood with quiet water pond and live small waterfall in the BG. Very well seen Jim.

Stan, here is a composition which includes the little waterfall in the background and the crack in the foreground. The water from the pool flows into the crack. This was the fourth time I've done the Left Fork hike.
