Heart of Stone
by Bill Maile
Just out shooting on a damp, dreary day yesterday and thought the water coating made this moss and lichen covered rock kind of interesting with a reddish tint to the top of it. Cropped down a bit, ISO320, 1/125th, f-3.5. Thanks for looking and any comments.
Since it was left up, changed the title, as the heart w/ the arrow carved into the rock was unnoticed. See it TC?

2 commentsI don't think I would have noticed the carving if you hadn't mentioned it. But I moved it at your request. :-)
This is a very interesting perspective and you have achieved some very good depth of field. I think it's very important in this particular scene to have the foreground rock in sharp focus, which you do. The lichen makes for some nice detail as well. The only suggestion really would be to have used a polarizer to cut down on the glare.
Thanks for posting,
