Pacific Golden Plover
by KC Choo
Apart from the Bee-eaters, the Pacific Golden Plover is another bird I well remember as a child in Malaysia. A flock of them would winter in the middle of the racetrack (thoroughbred) near our home. The Twin Towers now sit on that ground.
It is also a regular winter visitor to Hawaii, and I found this a couple of days ago on the Big Island's Kohala Coast. They seem to like golf courses and manicured gardens!
Thanks for looking.

Very nice the low angle, the detail and the pose of the bird.
Love the alert pose of the plover, the colors, background and your choice of composition.
Very well done.
Two things: I can never get over how different these birds are in winter plumage. And I am also amazed how much more tolerant they are in Hawaii than on the Yukon Delta. Very nice.
cheers
