When I first saw this scene, it was after sunset and I thought that the following day would bring better light. I said to myself that a single shot would be enough as a reminder. When I returned from the campsite at sunrise, the place was engulfed by a thick layer of fog and only in a few instances it allowed for shots that lacked contrast and color. The reminder shot proved to be the best of all. The title might not have anything to do with the image, I'm just listening to the band.

I like this Dorin. The yellows and rusty colors compliment the gray bare trees. Beautiful!

Wonderful Dorin. Lots for the eye to wander over. I'll bet a huge print would be fantastic.

Amazing image Dorin. I love the trunks in the middle, giving rythm to the image. Very well done, and a perfect image for open shade light conditions...Congrats! :)

Wow - what a great study in textures. the bare trees break up the foliage nicely. Really, really nice!

Very nice Dorin, love the mix of barren trunks and late autumn color. Really tells a story of the time of year. Well done.

Nice layers, Dorin, looks great overall! Compression is killing it even in the large version--i wonder if the sharpening is affecting that, might be worth trying some variations on the sharpness to see if it helps with the web version.

Dorin,

Gorgeous! I love it when folks isolate scenes like this out of a grand landscape. Beautifully seen and congrats on the "reminder." No nits from me.

Thanks, guys. Stan, I see what you're saying here and I'm almost sure that the problem comes from a mixture of weak lens unable to resolv the details and a hazy and rather dull atmosphere (and my broken remote control). I'll try to see if I can make it better (hopefully, next year I'll have that 70-200  ).

Not sure how much better the light could be to highlight all those colors. Great stuff.

Superbly done, Dorin. I love the details and textures in this image; a perfect showcase of the latter stages of autumn color.

This is excellent! I love scenes like this, and this one is very nice. The colors are great. My only wish would be that there were a few more evergreens scattered about the comp.

So much to look at here. The muted yellows, the rusty reds, the bare trees. The composition is really strong here and the large version is a treat to look at.

I just got around to viewing this - a little late perhaps, but I'm glad I made it. This is beautiful Dorin - great layers and color. Love those gray branches.
