Just starting on the fall pictures. I'm afraid you'll be seeing these all winter long. One of the first shots taken with the new 5D, so I didn't have to clean up any dust spots--Hallelujah!

A very apt title - how long of an exposure was this?

This was about 6 secs at ISO 100. I have other shots at higher ISOs, but the water texture wasn't significantly changed except at the extreme end. So, I opted to go with the lower ISO shot. Thanks for the comment.

Beautiful autumn color and very nice comp too. My only nit would be with the exposure time - it appears to be "overly" blurred for my tastes, but of course, that strictly subjective and personal.

I personally like the longer exposure, especially the result in the foreground. The tree on the right also adds a lot of visual interest in drawing my eye into the image. Nice work!

This is sweet Ron, I love the way the water spreads out at the bottom.

You chose a perfect shutter speed that left the FG water nicely textured. Too fast or too slow and I don't think this composition would have worked. Really nice colors in the foliage, too.

Well composed and extremely "clean" Ron. Like that the colors look real and not to saturated. The water is well exposed and the shutter value well balanced. A great shot.

Ron,

Lovely autumn scenic. I think the longer exposure works well here especially for how the streaks of water fan out from the cascade throughout the bottom of the frame; that's cool. Although there are some small areas that have lost detail in the water, the white's don't look clipped and honestly are pretty insignificant in the frame. Overall this is lovely.

Normally I don't like shutter speeds so slow that flowing water loses all texture but here it really works because of the way it spreads out at the bottom. Very cool.

Leaves on the ground and leaves of the trees, just fantastic. Love the water streaks lead in.

Well portrayed autumn scene Ron

I especially like the longer exposure here, and how it does fan out the white in the foreground. Beautiful rusty autumn colours, and all the fallen leaves add a lot. Very nice!.

The foreground really brings the viewer into the rest of this gorgeous scene. Comp is well done, and the capture has that true fall feel ot it.

Beautiful work
