Acadia Ice Abstract

Another from my trip to Acadia National Park this past Autumn. Abnormally cold conditions and lackluster foliage forced us to look for different types of images. This is from a very cold morning on Cadillac Mountain. Compression and display size is killing all the fine details present in this image, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Great abstract Kurt - I love the color in this. Wish there was a larger size to view.

Fantastic, Kurt! The lines, patterns, and textures are all wonderful. The little bit of leaf litter on top adds some nice color, too. :toast:

Excellent! I think this is even stronger than Frozen in Time. It is more subtle and more complex --> more "depth" and substance.

Kurt,

Wonderful natural abstract in the ice. Great detail and cool tone/color works very well and I think appropriate for the scene. Not really a nit, but how about turning this one horizontal? Actually, turning it either way I think would work for me. Somehow the long, sweeping lines just seem to fit lying down... :-) But regardless, this is a great capture. Good eye!
