Look around, common weeds are really beautiful. This shot is straight from the camera with no post-processing, other than being cropped a bit and signed.

Very nice detail and light, Vicki. As a "fiddler of nature" I would have removed the extraneous branches if at all possible.
I agree that the form, texture, and color of dead plants can present a whole new fascinating look into our natural world.

Thanks for the comment, Sam. I wouldn't mind if the stick in front were gone but it seems to be in front of part of the pod, If I had realized it would have looked this good, I could have set it up better in the first place especially since my photoshop skills are limited!

Good eye to spot this. Like you, I don't like to fiddle too much with my images but I would have perhaps remove it before taking the photo.
