Large-orange Sulphur & repost

D300, Sigma 180mm f/3.5 macro lens
ISO 200, 270mm, 1/1000 sec, f10, handheld
Full frame, except I used the crop tool to add a little canvas at the bottom
Photo taken Nov. 7, 2009 at the Falcon State Park, in the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas
Please correct ID, if incorrect. Photographing butterflies is a new venture for me. The image is a little dark, but it was taken in the shade and this is close to my memory of color and brightness. Comments and suggestions most welcome.

I like your comp and the detail, David. I do think the brightness could be bumped just a bit throughout.

Nice details on the BF and flower. Sweet BG. I don't mind that the picture is a tad dark. :toast:

The larger version does better justice to the excellent sharpness and detail. Colours and bg work nicely too. Great shot!

David: Really good plane of focus management. I do think you can bring up the brightness a bit. When you do it also improves the contrast and brings out the already superb details. Terrific capture. >=))>

I'm attaching a version with greater brightness.
Thanks for your helpful comments.
Oops! I read Bill's comments in my e-mail. I did not notice that he had posted a brighter version. Sorry for the redundancy.
