WC#408-Frosty Mtn Meadow

I made this image in a meadow a couple of Septembers ago near Ohio Pass in Colorado. The temperature was in the mid twenties and heavy frost covered much of the grass which added wonderful color and texture to the already colorful blades of Broom grass. Shot just before sunrise light hit the meadow.

I thought this theme would pull one out of Professor Grass. Masterfully done.

Excellent detail and color Stephen. The frost makes it even better.

Another wonderful image Steve. Your works of prairies and grasses are always top notch, inspirational and some of the best. Glad to see you get something on here.
Thanks for sharing.

I like the contrast of the seeds.

My preference, often not correct, would be to crop this photo's top to just above the uppermost seed.

I like the color rendition the sun did on the frost.

Nice capture.

The mix of warm and cool colors among the grasses is terrific. This must be a real treat to look at on a light table.

Just gorgeous, Steven, this would make a great shindig print exchange

Great image Stephen. I like the multitude of colors and the contrast between the taller warm colored grasses and the shorter cooler colored grasses with the frost. I would be tempted to crop off the bushes at the top to focus attention on the grasses.

I tried but this is hard to beat!

Again wonderfully done Steve, congrats on the weekly pic, I knew it wasn't much of a question. I can keep looking at this and never grow tired of it.
