Dandelion reflection

Taken for a macro photography class in my project on reflections/mirror images. Nikon D40, 28-92mm at 92mm, F14 at 1/50. Stacked two photos to get the different depths within the dandelions, taken on a mirror to get the reflection.

That is a cool image. One thing I like about it is knowing that you never see indoor or studio shots of dandelions so you composition is a nice twist on the subject.

As a nit, I think the whites of the seeds are just a bit darker than they should be. They look more grey than white.

Thanks for posting.

Beautiful image. If it is possible to recreate this image, try with a back-lit image. :toast:

Very creative Jillian. Murali's suggestion is spot on --- changing the angle of the lighting will make for a much more dramatic shot.
