Tennent Falls

This falls is a nice little hike (during a dry period) in the southern Adirondacks.

Nikon D40, 1/2 sec, f/22, ISO 200, zoom at 19 mm, tripod. I double processed the image, first for the falls, then to lighten up the shadows.

Comments appreciated.

It is a pretty falls. The water looks nicely exposed. I'd say either go completely monotone and try it in B+W or punch up the reds and greens a bit to liven it up a little. Looks like a tough one to compose but you did a nice job using the rocks in the foreground.

You did well on the processing Greg, this looks very natural and the details in the falls are well preserved. Overall the image is a bit "too brownish" for me, I think this spot can look great with radiating fall colors or in winter. But the comp. is nicely done, but I think it would benefit from a crop from the left. The most interest is on the right(including the falls). It would emphasize the falls and the reflection which is a very nice feature here. The rocks on the bottom right are also nicely placed. A squarish crop would put all that into a coherent unit I think.

Nice work on the processing Greg, the falls look great. For me there is too much foreground with not enough interest, I might suggest cropping to a pano format and eliminate the bottom of the image. This would allow the eye to focus more on the falls and other parts of the image that hold more interest.

As Dietrich mentioned it does look brown, but to some degree, this helps focus the attention on the falls.

This is brown! Nice set of falls, but I'd vote for a tighter comp.
