,,,,,,for now. One more from the morning of my last two posts. Thanks for the feedback on the last two. Earlier light and slower shutter speed blurred the moss a little, but I kind of like the softening effect.

Keep ' em coming. They're all outrageously beautiful and not frequently seen. On this one, the light striking the gray moss is beautiful and nicely interspersed with the colored foliage. The arrangement of trunks is perfect and creates nice depth. Just the right amount of water too.

Wow. I don't think I commented on the other two, but damn, this is just so good. I couldn't pick a favorite out of the 3 if I tried. Very beautiful stuff, David. :toast:

Glad I don't have to choose between the three. Each is special in its own way, whether is accents the colors, the grove of trees or in this case the moss. What a series!

David,

The solid wall of texture is very impressive here, to me. Tapestry like. Great light, great eye.

Man... these have all just been magical David. I still dig the first the most, but I guess you probably figured that since you decided to share it first  What sets these over the top, compared to other Cypress shots I've seen, is the sheer mass of lichen, incredible! I've got to come out there sometime soon! See any Ivory Bills?

This is fantastic David, almost magical. Your other two images were also. In this one, I love the white branches reaching out of the center. This is a masterpiece!

Great series David.
I like them all. Can you give us some more detail of the setup? Were you in the water? Shutter speeds etc.
Well Done!!!!! :toast:

Thanks again, everyone. This was just one of those mornings that everywhere I looked there was beauty. And to think I was so preoccupied with these shoreline scenes that I missed the sun come up in one of those huge blood red fireballs. I was out of position for any decent comp so just sat back and enjoyed the moment.

Floris,,,,if I do see an Ivory-billed Woodpecker I'm not telling anyone until I get the shot so I can retire in style.

Neil,,,,I was floating in a kayak, the camera was on a TALL tripod in about six feet of water. 13 sec, f16, iso 100

I think I like this the best of the ones so far, I think because the moss and colored leaves go across the entire image. A great set of images!

I have enjoyed this series. The soft light and the somewhat muted colors really give these a special "feel" I love the composition on this one. The first one is still my favorite though.

Awesome set of images David. I remember seeing your shots a while back and thought what a cool place to photograph. Well composed set of images and enjoyed them all. If I might offer a critique, which is just an observation, Im wondering what it would look like if you could pull those reflections out more. I like the softness of them so either way. Im strictly wondering
Thanks for sharing such graphic beauty

It's hard to tell how the motion blur would translate to a print. This presentation basically looks sharp throughout, and it looks great, but I wish I could tell what that little green thing was.

David, what an incredible series of cypress photos! While I like the first one the best, this one is a close second and your last post a close third. I hope you really try to market these photos. I can picture all three of them printed large and hanging in a commercial building somewhere in Louisiana for the masses to see. What a beautiful representation of your state.
