November Surf

Last Friday, myself and two photo collegues went the small island Rörö in the Gothenburg archipelago. A windy day with gusts up to 12m/s. Managed to get some few shots without salt spray covering the filter.
The view is towards SW and the small island on the horizon is Stora Pölsan (sausage in english), marking the start of the ship lane into Gothenburg.

Interesting shot. Has a dark somewhat foreboding feel--which i like! The exposure is great (no ghastly dandelion waves ) and i really like the warm WB, it adds to the mood. If i was being real picky id ask for one more crashing wave up front, but this is great as is. :wavey:

Oh I love scenes like this Christer. I almost thought it was Maine or Nova Scotia for a minute. Beautiful ominous sky and I think the exposure for the wave action is great. Nice work.

Man, that looks cold and unwelcoming  A light blue toned B&W might make it even more so.. worth a shot? Wonderful emotion!

Great shot! I like how the clouds seem to mirror the foreground. :toast: :jump:

Great contrasting colors here. The dark greys really bring out the warm tones in the sky and reflected water. The shutter speed works well too. Very cool!

Wow really dramatic sky there. Its a bit dark in the fg rocks, but not too overpowering. And I agree with Stan, that the warm tones make this shot very inviting.

Very well done, Christer. Looks like one of Evas shots. The warm light work so nice here and the clouds add an interesting drama to the scene.

Christer,
Wonderful scene, beautifully exposed, dramatic but not over the top. No nits from me.
