Nikon D80, f/5.6, 1/60 Oev 1.3, iso 800, lens nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5

Late afternoon sun on Saturday and I could not help going out.
I have many photos from this afternoon, but once again no tripod, left in car, car drives away.
So instead of fretting about the day, I found a few pictures that I liked.

Any comments are appreciated, and as I learn more and shoot more, the happier I will be.

I am also starting to add to my gallery.

Fascinating piece, Diane! I love all of it except the white horizontal line in the corner. Now, would you mind telling me what this is??

Thanks for the compliments, this is a fungus on an old tree stump. I have been very fascinated by them as long as I can remember. The object in the lower right corner is another stem. I can remove it and see how the picture holds up.
